LouvreSol sign Lease on New Premises!

Today LouvreSol are very proud and excited to announce that we have signed the lease on our new premises, at Knowsley Business Park

LouvreSol have outgrown our current premises and are moving a few miles down the road to Knowsley.

With double the square footage of what we currently have, the new premises will allow us to streamline processes and improve efficiency within all departments.

Planning permission has been submitted so that we can adapt each area to be used in the most effective way.

Our move has been planned to take place early 2013.

All the staff at LouvreSol are looking forward to the move, and the new opportunities that it will create for the company.

The new factory and offices will enable each department to become more efficient.

All staff will have a better working environment, and the newest technology to make working life easier.

Matthew Excels during his Work Experience

Like Father, Like Son

All of the team welcome Matthew Hill into LouvreSol

for his work experience.

Matthew has been learning all the tricks of the trade from his father, our Technical Estimating Manager, Steve Hill. Matthew will spend 10 days with us, gaining a insight into the working world. Matthew has spent time within each department, picking up new skills and meeting new people. Matthew has been able to understand the business as a whole......and see what his dad actually gets up to at work.

Matthew has shown a keen interest in the design department, where he has been assisting Paul O'Keeffe. Matthew has been an asset to us in this very busy period, helping each department with specific tasks, and of course, the essential tea making duties.

We hope Matthew has enjoyed his time with us, and given him some inspiration for his future.

LouvreSol worked hard at early design stage to secure the Brise Soleil for the above project. The architect's priority was to make sure the Brise Soleil performs to its best capabilities. To illustrate to the architect exactly what level of sun the Brise Soleil would shade, we created a comprehensive sun path analysis, in the form of an animated programme.

Two potential designs of the Brise Soleil were chosen, with two elevations needing protection from the sun. We managed to show how different designs and blades affected the level of solar shading so that the architect could make an informed decision.

Following the architect's review of our sun path analysis, he chose our SolLine Lunar 300 blade. Our system will then be installed to supporting steel work by others.

Amanda Downey and Steve Hill flew over to Wiegendorf in Germany last week to see the impressive office and factory of Eurolam International. LouvreSol are partnering with Eurolam in UK, with their innovative Louvres. Eurolam pride themselves on their continuous investment in the invention and research into new products. Carrying out rigerous testing on all their products ensures they always operate to their high standards.

New Qualifications

Kieron Sweeney completes his Site Supervisors Safety

Training Scheme (SSSTS) with flying colours.

The SSSTS course has enabled Kieron to develop his knowledge of construction sites and management, whilst being more aware of the social and legal responsibilities the job role covers. Kieron now fully understands the importance of risk assessments and how it is vital they are completed properly to increase the safety levels on site and reduce the risk of accidents.

The SSSTS is a highly respected qualification in the construction industry and will pave the way for further promotion within LouvreSol Specialist Projects.

Kieron is now in the last stages of gaining his Level 2 NVQ Qualification in Team leading. The team leader NVQ will give Kieron the opportunity to develop the core competencies needed by team leaders in todays dynamic business world.
